Alena Sharp is having one of the best weeks of her @LPGA career. And she's doing so at home.
There’s little question that Sharp, who admitted a personal best finish is the goal if not a win tomorrow, is a different golfer these last two seasons. A few times this week she’s referenced her newfound comfort level, an expectation — or even assumption — that she’s going to make the cut and have a good week compared to years past when she battled doubt and desperation. At this tournament, where her record is poor aside from a tie for 10th in 2007, she was often playing with the urgency of trying to keep her status. That’s not a concern this year and Sharp is playing with more freedom than ever.
