DALY CITY, Calif. – Azahara Munoz is eager to make her first start since undergoing surgery to remove a tumor from her left hand. Munoz is scheduled to tee it up Thursday at the Swinging Skirts Classic at 4:22 p.m. ET with Karrie Webb and Na Yeon Choi . “It feels good,” Munoz said. “It’s been healing up quickly, so my doctor’s happy about that.” Munoz had a benign tumor surgically removed from the palm at the base of her left thumb on March 16. She didn’t hit balls for a month and has been hitting full shots only for the last week. Munoz, 27, hasn’t played since tying for fourth at the HSBC Women’s Champions early in March. She has won four times around the world, including the 2012 LPGA Sybase Match Play Championship .
