Please help publicize summer jobs for youth in the Department of Labor's Summer Jobs+ program.

GCSAA members are encouraged to work with their peers at golf facilities to help publicize summer employment opportunities for youth. The U.S. Department of Labor has created the Summer Jobs+ program to help businesses communicate available jobs for youth through a searchable online database. GCSAA and its partners in the WE ARE GOLF coaltion (CMAA, NGCOA, PGA of America) were recognized earlier this year by the DOL as 2011 Summer Jobs Champions for the contributions the golf industry makes in providing opportunities for youth. The database has been created to help both job providers and job seekers in connecting. "I encourage GCSAA members to work with other department leaders at facilities to enter the summer jobs in this database," GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said.
