Kaymer in fine fettle
Martin Kaymer showed some good form ahead of next month’s Ryder Cup with a second round 66 at the Deutsche Bank Championship. The US Open Champion holed a 40 foot eagle putt on TPC Boston’s 18th green to complete a five under par round that moved the German into the top ten, three shots behind leaders Jason Day and Ryan Palmer. World Number One Rory McIlroy moved into the top 20 with a two under par 69, with Race to Dubai winner Henrik Stenson a shot further back after consecutive 70s. In the battle for Ryder Cup Captain’s picks on Tuesday, Ian Poulter and Luke Donald both slipped down the leaderboard with rounds of 73 and 74 respectively.
