For the next week leading right up until the stroke of Auld Lang Syne on New Year’s Eve, a number of new or renewed endorsement golf industry contracts are expected to become public knowledge. A number already have. Women’s world No.1 Inbee Park, Ernie Els and Jonas Blixt finalized equipment deals earlier this month. Reports out of New Zealand suggest two-time Canadian Women’s Open champion Lydia Ko has signed with Callaway Golf (official news release from Callaway still pending) while several more players – including Canadian Graham DeLaet – are expected to announce commitments for next season and beyond in the coming days. With the PGA Tour schedule reverting to a fall start expect most, if not all, new contracts to coincide with the season opening Frys.com Open going forward.
