City cruise to comfortable win
Man of the match: A selfless performance from Edin Dzeko helped City to the win as the Bosnian was a constant threat to an insipid Newcastle defence. Goal of the match: Vincent Kompany's burst from defence allowed Dzeko to flick into Aguero, whose pace, power and strength helped him evade a flustered Steven Taylor and the Argentine's finish was perfect. Save of the match: Excellent work from Aguero on the byline allowed Dzeko a free header, and although there's few better than the striker in the air, Krul was equal to it with a phenomenal reaction stop. Talking point: City acclimatised perfectly and the additions of Navas and Fernandinho to an already impressive forward line will reap the rewards this season.
