LEON, GTO, Mexico – Matt Atkins cruised to a three-stroke victory at the El Bosque Mexico Championship by Innova after a final-round, 4-under-par 68. The 26-year-old from Aston, Pennsylvania, finished the tournament at 17-under-par 271 and picked up his maiden Web.com Tour win in his 48th career start. Playing alongside Atkins on Sunday was Colombia’s Sebastian Munoz. Munoz carded a final-round, 2-under-par 70 and birdied the 72nd hole to finish 14-under-par. In a tie for third at 13-under-par were Ted Potter Jr., Roger Sloan and Austin Cook. “I don’t even know how to put it in words,” said Atkins, who picked up a first-place prize of $117,000. “It’s just such an honor to win in general.
