LA QUINTA, Calif. – We’re at the halfway point of PGA Tour Q-School. Three rounds are down, and three rounds remain. The leaders played PGA West’s Nicklaus Tournament course Friday, the easier of the two layouts in use this week, and will head to the Stadium Course on Saturday. Three rounds remain for players to work their way into the top 25 and earn PGA Tour cards at the last Q-School that will offer such a prize. Here’s 5 Things you need to know from the third round of the final Q-School as we know it. Meen-Whee Kim, at 18-under 198, holds a one-shot lead over Robert Karlsson: 1) LOCAL HERO: This is the last year players will be able to make an immediate leap from the mini-tours to the PGA Tour via Q-School.
