-- Steve LeBrun had quite the adventure en route to securing his U.S. Open qualifying spot last Monday, as told to Bob Baptist of the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch. After missing the cut in the Nationwide Tour event in Raleigh, Lebrun and his family headed home to West Palm Beach, Fla., with a planned three-day detour to Disney World. While at a hotel in South Carolina on Saturday night, Lebrun got word that a spot in the Columbus qualifier had opened up. What to do!? He decided to go to Orlando and enjoy Sunday at the park with his wife and daughter, then catch a flight that evening to Ohio. While in the air, the 34-year-old asked himself, "Is this going to work out or am I just throwing $700 down the drain?" In the end result, the answer was clearly a positive one. And on Tuesday he was back at Disney World with his loved ones.
