LPGA Momentum Continues: Television Coverage, Viewership and Web Numbers Continue on Double-Digit Pace Last three tournaments rank in top-10 of most-watched telecasts over past five years Coming off a 2011 season that featured a nearly 40 percent increase in television viewership of North American events, the LPGA announced a 2012 season that featured expanded television hours, live weekend coverage at every domestic event and four more official LPGA tournaments. The LPGA today announced that television viewership of North American events in 2012 is up 18 percent versus 2011 as the Tour begins the core of its domestic schedule. “We are excited to see our fanbase continue to grow both on television and on the web,” said LPGA Commissioner Michael Whan. “Together with Golf Channel, we are working hard at innovative ways to showcase our players and their personalities.
