Seve remembered fondly at Augusta: #MASTERS

Even as excitement builds for the start of the 2012 Masters, a sense of sadness lingers over Augusta National, as players and patrons mourn the loss of one of the greatest ever to slip on a Green Jacket, Severiano Ballesteros. The Spanish golfing great and winner of two Masters died of brain cancer last May at the age of 54, and this is the first time the Tournament has been played since his passing. “Of course, we all miss Seve and are thinking of him this year,” said Bernhard Langer, who won twice at Augusta National, in 1985 and 1993. “He was a good friend, a great teammate and a fierce competitor. He had this wonderful flair, hitting difficult chips and pitches around the greens and always getting himself out of trouble.
