Andrew Parr humbled as crowdsourcing campaign meets its goal.

Andrew Parr's innovative fundraising plan comes to an official end at midnight but the London, Ont., golfer has reached his goal. Parr used crowdsourcing in hopes of securing enough money to pay for his year of golf and set a goal of $75,000. By Friday morning, he'd hit more than $81,000. "I had no idea what was going to happen," he said in an early morning conversation from his home in San Francisco. "Things went a little crazy yesterday." Parr's cause was no doubt helped by stories in both the Globe and Mail and the National Post , which profiled the talented golfer and his innovative approach. He received donations, both large and small, from people he'd never heard from before and from folks he's known all his life. "It's super humbling," he said.
