Young Scots Selected for Dutch Development Test 18, February 2014 Michael Lawrie, the youngest son of 1999 Open champion Paul, has earned national team selection for the first time having been picked for a development match. The 15-year-old Deeside player, (pictured), a first year member of the Scottish Golf Academy, has been selected to represent Scotland for the Under-16 Quadrangular Match in Holland in April. The Scots face the hosts, Ireland and Wales at BurgGolf Purmerend from 15 – 17 April, having finished runners-up 12 months ago behind the Irish. Sam Locke, son of Paul Lawrie Golf Centre-based coach Andrew Locke, who edged out Michael for first place in the Paul Lawrie Foundation Junior Open at Deeside last season, has also been selected.
