First contested in 1969, the Canada Summer Games is a multi-sport and cultural event that brings together the best athletes and artists age eighteen and younger from each Canadian province and territory. Golf, which will make its debut at the PanAm Games in Toronto in 2015 and the Summer Olympic Games in Rio in 2016, first appeared at the Canada Summer Games in 2009 in Prince Edward Island. Ontario took home the silver medal in the girls’ team championship, the bronze medal in the boys team championship, and Augusta James (Austin James’ older sister) earned the individual silver medal in the girls’ competition.
