Not surprisingly, Tseng asked her caddie “Who’s that?” after seeing Masson’s name atop the board. She told assembled scribes after the round that she thought they’d “become friends” on Sunday during their final-round pairing. That might be true given that, as Masson noted, Tseng is overly friendly to other players on tour. However, the last green player to pair with Tseng on Sunday at a major was Cindy LaCrosse at the Wegmans LPGA Championship. She quickly melted away with a 77. Tseng won by 10.
