PHOENIX, Ariz. — One of the hottest equipment free agents in professional golf has finally found a landing spot. Coming off the best season of his professional career, Tony Finau and PING announced on Tuesday that the sides had come to terms on a multi-year club deal that will see the 28-year-old continue to play the company's clubs going forward. “I’m honored to become part of the PING Tour team,” Finau said. “The family atmosphere, people and core values at the company really spoke to me. I’ve played their equipment for the last year and have gotten to know their tour reps and the engineering team in Phoenix very well in the process." Despite not adding to his win total during the 2016-17 PGA TOUR season, Finau still managed to finish 19th in the season-long FedExCup standings — a career-best — and make his first trip to the TOUR Championship.
