Zoe Campos of West Ranch High won the CIF Girls' individual title with a 2-under 69 at Poppy Hills

University High of Irvine took the team title, while Zoe Campos of West Ranch High won the individual title in the CIF Girls’ State High School Championship held Tuesday at par-71 Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach. University High shot a score of 28-over 383, defeating runner-up Troy High of Fullerton by seven shots It marks the first State title for University, who had placed third at the SoCal finals. “From the very beginning of the season, we’ve just had a deep team,” University head coach Kevin Kasper said. “Everyone has been very consistent throughout the year. It hasn’t been one player carrying us. They’ve all carried one another.” University was paced by Dana Choi, Nodoka Honda and Coco Yang, who all shot 74, Other scores for University were Samantha Cabunag (79), Alexis Kim (82) and Kristin Shea (92).
