One of the most popular driver shafts on the PGA TOUR is getting a new look ahead of the 2017-18 season. Building on the success of the Speeder Evolution III, the shaft manufacturer introduced Speeder Evolution IV — a low launch, low spin shaft that's based on the profile of Evolution II, but features a slightly softer mid and tip section designed to increase launch angle while maintaining low torque and spin. For the first time ever, Speeder Evolution IV includes a new 70-ton high-performance, intermediate modulus material that offers improved stability without significantly increasing the overall weight of the shaft. Engineers also added a technology called “Engineered Outer Bias" that promotes a smooth feel during loading.
